Right wing American Christians concerned about Human Rights in Europe

On Discovery Institute’s Evolution News and Views pages Casey Luskin is moaning about ID proponents (=creationsits) being harassed in Europe because the Committee on Culture, Science and Education of the Council of Europe

issued a report (“Committee Report”) proposing a ban on intelligent design (ID) in science classrooms, suggesting ID may pose a "threat to human rights."
You will find a nice take down of Luskin’s arguments on Pandasthumb.org.
To prove his story Luskin cites a memo of the European Center for Law and Justice (ECLJ) which is quite telling. As rimpal comments on Pandasthumb.org
ECLJ is trying to take the same track as do the creationists in the US by demanding equal time etc
This shouldn’t be surprising because ECLJ is a branch of ACLJ which was founded by Pat Robertson.
Its mission is
Promoting the defense of religious liberties and fostering human rights and democratic freedoms in Europe
and it looks as if they do mean it in the order “Jesus first” and then some other human rights that may help their view of religious and family values (e.g., you won’t hardly find anything about rights of homosexuals on their pages). Indeed, the ECLJ missed some opportunities to protect human rights in Europe: E.g., the kidnapping El-Masri and CIA action in Italy.

What really pisses me off though, is that during a summer course organised by the ECLJ representatives of the ECJL together with students from Pat Robertson’s own Regent University managed to get invited by the European Court of Human Rights. European Court of Human Rights representatives should ask themselves if the Regent (sic!) University motto “Christian Leadership (sic!) to change the world” is compatible with the “Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms” . IMHO Regent’s mission statement should rather be read as “born to rule the world” and all of Casey's fuss is rather about protecting the religious right than religious rights.
So let's sing to show them what Europeans think of their attempts:
Quoi ! des cohortes étrangères
Feraient la loi dans nos foyers!
Quoi ! ces phalanges mercenaires
Terrasseraient nos fiers guerriers! (bis)
Grand Dieu ! par des mains enchaînées
Nos fronts sous le joug se ploieraient
De vils despotes deviendraient
Les maîtres de nos destinées!
